BATTLE OF OUR TIME: DJ MPESEMPESE TO BATTLE DJ KEVIN AT GHANA DJ AWARDS 2018

More reasons why Ghana DJ Awards happening at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 6, is going to be a thrilling experience keep emerging by the minute.

 

One feature which has got music fans talking and betting is the battle named Battle Of Our Time which will have DJ Kevin “The Scratch Beast” and DJ Mpesempese lock horns in a freestyle competition for supremacy or bragging rights.

 

For those who have followed the DJ culture for a long time in Ghana, battles were popular in the early 2000s featuring notable names like Andy Dosty, DJ Black, E Double among others but have been missing for almost two decades. The Merqury Republic, Africa’s biggest DJ event organisers are bringing the whole exciting vibe back, starting with this cracker which has generated heated debates amongst music lovers and followers of the DJ culture in Ghana.

 

Discovery of the Year nominee at the 2017 Ghana DJ Awards, DJ Mpesempese, The dreadlock haired DJ hails from New Ningo. He recently featured on the 2018 Ghana DJ Cypher and has received positive reviews online and within the DJ community in Ghana.

 

DJ Kelvin was the winner of Hitz  FM’s hottest DJ 2016, He earns a nod at the 2017 Ghana DJ Awards for the discovery of the year. Kelvin has collaborated with artiste like Stay Jay among others.
