John Kofi Nkansah, popularly known in the showbiz industry as KO7, the 7 Music president has highlighted some reasons why the Kwahu showbiz is still not growing.
In an interview with Dj Wyzkyd, host of Kingdom Entertainment Zone on Nkawkaw based Kingdom FM, Ko7 claimed that musicians who do not have any affiliations in the entertainment industry in Kwahu are left to their own fate.
“Kwahu media has become politics, if a person is in the music industry, he has to know someone who is close to some top officials in the game to link him up before he can attain a name or height which is wrong for Kwahu music,” says Ko7.
However, KO7 again added that there is no unity among the artistes and that is why they are not getting support from the media.
“It’s about time we come together and work for a common goal. The favoritism is too much and everyone wants to kiss ass which is bad. This is why I have begun with my project which is features all the artistes in Kwahu” says Ko7
Ko7 has over the years released a couple of hit songs which include Gaza with Phada Gaza’ ‘Kwahu Ye Guy’, ‘Style Biabi’ which features Fameye and “Bad Girl” featuring Luther.
He has been signed to 7 Music and is being managed by Kwame Opena.
